History of Bread and Wine in Mass

Yasna Ceremony

The Yasna ceremony is the highest of the inner circle ceremonies and requires the recitation of chapters 1 to 72 of the book of Yasna. The purpose of the Yasna ceremony is to purify the world, strengthen the bond between the spiritual and physical existences, and to promote good health. As with all ceremonies of the inner circle, it is performed in the pavi area (inner sanctum) of a fire temple.

Yasna Meaning

Yasna is commonly taken to mean worship or dedication as well as being related to the words yaz, yezi (Avestan) and later yazishn (Middle Persian), words that evolved yet later into ijeshne and then Jashn / Jashne / Jashan. Given the association of yasna with jashne, a thanksgiving festival, yasna could very well carry a meaning similar to celebration such as honouring or venerating.

This is the old religion (Zoroastrian) ceremony known as the Yasna.  This is the beginning of offering bread and drink in communion with Gawd.  Many elements from this particular rite can be seen in the Catholic Mass today.  They are using Frankincense and Sandalwood with the fire where normally Catholics use Frankincense and Myrrh.  Throughout the Zoroastrian rite, is the constant use of duality of plant and animal along with Fire and Water.  This is where you see an obsession for purity to start from.  You also find using a bell to drive off demons and impurities.

How did the Yasna become the Catholic Mass?  Well, who are unaware, Catholicism stole many things from Greek and Roman Pagans along with Nordic and Celtic Pagans as well.  Most of Catholicism is based on Mithraism that came from Persia.  Following link helps educate as to how the concept of eating flesh and drinking blood became apart of the Catholic Mass.  “A sacred meal was celebrated of bread and haoma juice for which in the West wine was substituted. This meal was supposed to give the participants super-natural virtue.” Source is from the Catholic Encyclopedia.

Further into Roman religious practice, there was a ceremonial sacrifice of a bull whom represented a God.  People ate of the God’s flesh and drank of its blood.  “he was intercepted and killed,” and his murderers, “chopped his members up into pieces and…devoured them.” An event which his worshipers celebrate in “recurring sacred rites celebrated every two years,” in which, “They tear a live bull with their teeth, representing the cruel banquet at which the God was eaten. ”
Firmicus Maternus, The Error of the Pagan Religions, Ch 6.2

Eating in Ceremony with Idols of Gods was a ritual practice common in Roman as well.  In ancient Roman religion, the lectisternium was a propitiatory ceremony, consisting of a meal offered to gods and goddesses. The word derives from lectum sternere, “to spread (or “drape”) a couch.” The deities were represented by their busts or statues, or by portable figures of wood, with heads of bronze, wax or marble, and covered with drapery. It has also been suggested that the divine images were bundles of sacred herbs tied together in the form of a head, covered by a waxen mask so as to resemble a kind of bust, rather like the straw figures called Argei. These figures were laid upon a couch (lectus), the left arm resting on a cushion (pulvinus, whence the couch itself was often called pulvinar) in theattitude of reclining. The couch was set out in the open street, and a meal placed before it on a table.

Livy saysthat the ceremony took place “for the first time” in Rome in the year 399 BC, after a pestilence had caused the Sibylline Books to be consulted by the duumviri sacris faciundis, the two priestly officials who maintained the archive. Three couches were prepared for three pairs of gods — Apollo and Latona, Hercules and Diana, Mercury and Neptune. The feast lasted for eight (or seven) days, and was also celebrated by private individuals. The citizens kept open house, quarrels were forgotten, debtors and prisoners were released, and everything done to banish sorrow.

Taking this information lets look into the original celebration of the Eucharist in Christianity before it was taken by the Roman Catholic Church.

Chapter 9. The Eucharist. Now concerning the Eucharist, give thanks as follows.

(2) First, concerning the cup:
We give you thanks, our Father,
for the holy vine of Davidyour servant,
which you have made known to us
through Jesus your servant,
to you be the glory forever.

(3) And concerning the broken bread:
We give you thanks, our Father,
for the life and knowledge you have made known to us
through Jesus
, your servant;
to you be the glory forever.

Didache, Chapters 9 (1st century AD),—which you can find in: Holmes, Michael. The Apostolic Fathers: Greek Texts and English Translations (1999), pg. 259 – 263

Here is the evolution on how the Roman Catholic Mass utilizing bread and wine to equate Jesus’s flesh and blood.  To sum it up, the Zoroastrians used these things in the Yasna Ritual to celebrate the Divinity of God and bring blessing to their lay people by sharing the left over bread and haoma.  The evolution of this sacrament used to bring divinity and virtue to those who share in this meal ie receiving Jesus’s grace from communion.  The use of idols to feast with gods and celebration to drive away negative emotion.  The practice of animal sacrifice that lead to the belief of actually eating the flesh and drinking the blood of god, to assume the power of that God. The combination of that with the original celebration of the Eucharist and adding some Hocus Pokus Dominocus, you the Catholic Mass which indoctrinates these old world ideas and magical ceremonies to make each individual one with God.  Which is the point of the RHP.

The question came up, why would followers of the Zoroastrian Devil indulge in such a thing as the Black Mass?  I can assure you, that few people come to the LHP from any of those for mentioned religions.  However, many Catholics get disenfranchised and look for truth outside the Catholic Church.  This also includes many other types of Christianity that celebrate the Eucharist as well.  The Black Mass is a deprogramming device to alleviate these people of their Christian back ground and is used as such.  I think rewriting to create a Black Yasna would be futile in America or in most places beside India.  One must also observe that most of Roman Catholic religion is from Mithraism, and Mithra is an original enemy of Angra Mainyu.  So, why wouldn’t He take it upon Himself to mock that which stands as bastardization of that old enemy?
